McLaren Central Billing Office

Absolutely the worst bill payment system on planet Earth. Seriously cannot imagine how anyone with any common sense at all within McLaren could look at this and think it is even close to OK. Whom ever designed and signed off on this system should be ashamed.

If I could give negative or 0 rating, I would. McLaren’s billing system is antiquated and very difficult to use. Bills sent via the mail do not match billing online. Bills must be added to the online profile by user. Billing for multiple family member is a mess. Sparrow / U of M knows how to do billing. McLaren - take notes and join the rest of us in the 2020’s…..

I have been trying to get my billed paid here since Feb of 2023. I have gone back and forth between the insurance and McLaren trying to get this corrected and it’s been useless. I finally just paid McLaren waiting on my insurance to pay out and now the insurance is saying McLaren submitted the wrong bill to begin with. I’m out $1,600 and they won’t refund me until they get whatever issues they have between the two of them sorted out. It’s ridiculous. Consumer who have done everything that can shouldn’t be screwed like this.

Not only did I never receive their "payment plan" they claimed to mail out AFTER they told me initially they couldn't take a payment over the phone, but they threatened to take me to collections if I paid less than $50! You'd think a medical facility would take a payment and appreciate the effort.

If there was a negative star option I'd be on it. Been calling multiple times since March 1st for a refund on an overpayment. Been told a couple of times it's been refunded but never received. Left prior bad Google via email to reach out to him. Left voicemail 6/17. No response. Called today and spoke to Chris a manager. Said will try and escalate just like I've been told before. Said will call me everyday with update. We will see. No hope here. No physical billing office to go to.
