Fidelis Care - Poughkeepsie Community Office

Tried to get urgent care for pneumonia and was told Fidelis no longer works with my local clinic. Tried using Fidelis’s online services and, surprise, although there’s a button to search for urgent care clinics, it doesn’t actually turn up urgent care, just private practice. Spent half an hour on the phone with a member services representative, who didn’t have access to an in-network directory and resorted to individually calling clinics. After nearly half an hour on hold, I was finally told that not a single urgent care clinic in my area takes Fidelis — so effectively I have zero urgent care coverage and have to go to an ER instead. This is an insane way to treat patients.

Optum and Northwell OBGYN practices stopped accepting Fidelis Care from 2026. I am wondering what happened.

Great care, without Fidelis I don't know what I would do. Their very caring and such great people to deal with. I had a stroke, heart attack as of now a dozen surgeries so my job wouldn't take me back. Fidelis covers my doctors, my medicine and always checks in with me. I don't know much about this I have worked since 12 without any help, so all they do I'm great full. Without Fidelis I have no idea what I would do, their a 5 star company. POUGHKEEPSIE NY.

Medicaid is great. Once you have to pay, you are screwed. Constant billing issues, gaps in coverage etc and whenever I call no one knows what happened. Then they connect me to another department which is actually just the original menu with 1200 options so you start over. Everyone we have interacted with is kind. They seem to know what a mess Fidelis is. Unless you qualify for a free marketplace plan, keep researching. So disappointing and frustrating.

I went to urgent care this month (covered by my plan) and was billed $300 for a COVID-19 test. The same nose swab that you can purchase at CVS for $10. Tried to get a PCP appointment, I'm booked for next year. Absolute joke of a healthcare provider.
