Towne Insurance

Towne Insurance failed to cancel two commercial policies with Penn National in spite of repeated emails to their agent TWO MONTHS PRIOR TO RENEWAL asking for confirmation of non-renewal. Kept being told policy was cancelled only to have Penn National deduct $800+ from our bank account because policy still showed active in their system. Rates through Towne Ins are over-inflated and attention to detail is lacking. Response to Towne's reply: Towne tries to cast blame on Penn National? Had Towne's agent done her job AS I REPEATEDLY ASKED, Penn National would have received the proper non-renewal / cancellation documents in time. The failure and fault lies with Towne Insurance.

Proceed with caution. I had a good experience dealing with the sales agent (of course) but based on my experience with the staff underneath him, in my opinion, this firm does not put the customer first. They neglected canceling a guardianship bond renewal after the court notified them that the matter was closed and I have since been referred to collections twice. Insurance Companies are there to protect us--not make our lives more difficult. Sadly, I CANNOT recommend the Williamsburg Towne Insurance team.
