The Chesapeake Life Insurance Company

Looking at all the disappointing reviews. I have not had no bad experience with this life insurance company. They answer all my questions, sent out the packets in a timely and professional manner after my mom passed. And communication has been open for all documents needed on my end. I give four stars because there is always room for improvement in any business. I am satisfied with the help received.

I called recently to cancel old plans that I no longer need. Surprisingly, the representative politely accepted mt decision to cancel without offering alternatives and she was incredibly efficient. I assumed it could take my entire lunch break but it was less than 10 minutes. I'm not putting 4 stars because, for all the years I've had this company, I don't remember the last time they sent me a card. They also haven't emailed me in over a year. That could improve-- but their customer service was great.

The worse customer service ever. I received a letter about a cancer wise plan about to expire. I called and tried several times to follow the prompt. It doesn't even respond to the # I pressed. Eventually a woman answered and as if she was robot not listening to me. She repeatedly 3 times and hang up. What incompetent customer service.

These people are scammers. I have never in my life sign a life insurance policy with them. I found out today that they have been taking 66 dollars from my account since 2021. This is horrible. I don't know they got my bank information.

Im disappointed, so I been paying for our life insurance for more than 20 years and when we first got the insurance, they explained the coverage for each of us, and if we didn't end up using it after 30 years we would get our money back. Now I called today to refresh the information and they told us NO we don't get our money back and we only less the 5K after 30years. Why would the information change now. 😕 im really disappointed. I will be canceling my policy. I was undeniable with the rating this insurance had, but now it's clear why people are so upset and disappointed. 😞
