In January I called to get a quote on my mothers house. We had a nice conversation. The policy sounded great. We were ready to buy it UNTIL we got the actual quote and realized there was no replacement cost coverage as was stated verbally and in writing. Basically if something happened to our home, we wouldn’t have adequate coverage for it. I never got a hill explanation as to why others than ‘the system wouldn’t allow it’ — which is strange because why did you verbally quote it and put it in writing? We decided we didn’t want to go with this insurance broker after that tactic. Incidentally we weren’t able to get insurance through this company since it was locked to this broker, which was also very frustrating.
