We asked for a quote for auto, homeowners and umbrella. The price was good and they sent an inspector to look at our foundation and oil tank. Our application was rejected based on the oil tank which is on concrete, (not dirt) is raised above the floor and has no leaks. They said it's older. Unbelievable!

Do not trust them. I have a Homeowner policy with them after buying a house. I saw the review saying that they will first try to give you a low quote and increase it after you bound with them. It is exactly what happened to me. Despite I giving them all the accurate information, they gave me a quote much lower than other insurers and later increase it 3 weeks into the policy. Now it is about the same as other insurers.

NJM is an insurance broker filled out information on website they recommended Progressive auto insurance funny I already have Progressive auto insurance which I consider to high for a retired couple with no accidents or tickets or duis or dwis ever .

Was a happy customer for over five years. Did a renewal for this year 8/24-8/25 and before the policy even began they just raised my yearly price by $600 despite being a single 30 year old man with zero accidents or moving violations ever that also owns his car outright. Going to shop around and switch insurers, there’s no way I’m paying $238 a month in auto insurance for a paid off 2014 Toyota Yaris that I drive less than 3,000 miles a year. It’s a shame, now they’re no different than any other greedy corporations. UPDATE: I switched to Progressive and they gave me better full coverage PLUS I added my second vehicle for liability only and my total is $156 a month. So for one car with less coverage NJM wanted $238 but for 2 cars with better coverage than I had before Progressive wanted $1

Bait and Switch! I just got my 2nd renewal and NJM jacked up the premiums ANOTHER 20-25%. I'm now paying $1400 MORE than I was 2 years ago. I always thought NJM was the insurance company to get. NJM claimed they did a one time adjustment on premiums over a multiyear cycle that accounted for such a large increase in premiums last year. What's the excuse this year? Will be switching.
