Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I requested a COI with an additional insured LAST WEEK. It has been over a week for them to send me a certificate. It takes 3 minutes max to add an additional insured to a certificate. They originally said 3 business days. It’s been 6 business days since my request. I called them, and was told that no manager or supervisor was available to take a call from me as one of their clients. Spent 40 minutes on the phone and still no COI. This is not a complicated request. A 5th grader could do a better job at completing this task. I’m at the point that my customer is withholding a $17,150 check from me until I submit a COI as it is required by our contract. My next course of action if I do not receive a response by the end of the day is to file a lawsuit against this fr

Horrible experience, I was involved in a claim where a truck under this company insurance hits my truck and they don’t want to be responsable for the payment, I sent the video which proof how the truck covered from GUARD hitting my truck in a parking lot and after a month They Don’t want to pay for that , very rude people, I never recommend this company because they are no nice and make a lot excuse for don’t be responsible and pay the damage to my truck, it’s not company you can trust!! They can see very clear what happened in the video but they only trying be focus in supposedly without proof because they don’t want to pay .

This insurance company took four months to send a check. They denied me the check three times. Do not use this company because when they have to pay for some repair, they do not do it. I had expenses of $10,000 of my property and they only covered me $2163.00. The check has not been able to change until today because the person who carried out the inspection never signed papers, this company is a disaster. I know that my comment does not matter to them, but this is the only way express about them.

Please stay away from Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies. They will charge you a short rate rather than an industry standard pro-rata rate if you decide to cancel their policy and switch to a better insurance provider! They do not even care about BBB complaint. They never respond through their claim and customer services email. I wish someone else had shared this experience before and never dealt with the GUARD in the first place. Of course, never ever again with them.
