Key Insurance Co

My car was rear-ended and totaled by one of their insured motorists on January 20 of this year. Fortunately, my insurance said they would handle going after Key. I just got a letter requesting I sign an affidavit because Key is insolvent. Why it took 10 months to hear this news, I can't fathom. It appears people have been knowing this for a long time, and their website says April 1.

Do not bother with this insurance. After 12yrs here recently they sent me letter saying they were going bankrupt. Wat the heck Received letter 2 days before making a payment on insurance saying needed to find another insurance carrier. It's was wrong.put me on the spot. Should have sent them out after making payment before the next payment date. PEOPLE BE AWARE!!!!!

Nothing but problems dealing with this company. They return calls at 11pm and schedule an adjuster but never show up. They email the wrong people, then send a letter saying they will no longer send anyone out. This is my 2nd time dealing with them. I would HATE for them to represent me. They go back on their word and are horrible at communicating. Scam company!! We will get lawyers involved!

Car got hit by a keys customer. They didn’t return any calls for months and even claimed that they tried contacting me several times. After dragging their feet for months I filed with my own insurance meaning now I have to foot the fee to use my own insurance. Not only did they have virtually no contact with me after towing my car, they are also seemingly avoiding my insurance. Keep in mind all of this is happening on a car that i still owe money on.

Never get this company.. I had key for almost a 9 months and my car gets hit and I have full coverage where my car is totaled mechanically.. ALEXANDRIA BIRMINGHAM IS MY ADJUSTER AND THEY REFUSE TO SETTLE OFF MY CAR WHILE WAITING FOR THE OTHER INSURANCE COMPANY AFTER 7 month I still have no car No settlement and Key is saying oh well waiting on the other insurance company that they won’t help and go after USAA.. instead she gave me an excuse about they only do repairs .. so I have been going through the reviews and have now been contacted a few and we are prepared to go after them through a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT BECAUSE I AN NOT ALONE!!
