I was with GP for 18 years. Paid my premiums on time. Never had a claim until August 2023. We had a garage fire that spread to our vehicles and home. We lost everything. The insurance company was amazing during this time. We were able to rebuild and moved into our new home mid-July 2024. I submitted an application for home owners insurance with GP because of how amazing they had been only to be DENIED! I was shocked, heartbroken and couldn't believe it. EIGHTEEN years with ONE claim and our policy was done just like that. I of course then had to seek insurance from elsewhere. I received notice in the mail weeks later that my policy has been canceled due to INSURED Request which made me chuckle. More like CANCELED due to INSURER Request. I have been using Genesee Patrons for home owners insurance for almost 10years. I’ve never really dealt with them as I’ve never had to file a claim. Well during the windstorm we had significant property damage. This claim process so far has been easier than I imagined. They have been quick to respond and come out to access. I couldn’t be more thankful for the help I’ve received so far.

Great company and rates that are cheaper than most. Had an issue with garage side door ripped from wall and masonry repair needed from wind stirm previously. They sent an Assessor and paid claim quickly. It was my 1st claim ever and I was pleasantly surprised how seamlessly they resolved my issue. #GoBills

Used GP for home owner policy and had no major issues until I changed carriers. Due to error on documentation (unclear if it was on new carrier or GPs part) had overlap in insurance and when requested refund GP was not only inflexible about their policy, it took several weeks to get into contact with manager regarding the issue.
