CONSUMER BEWARE!! Avoid this business at all cost. I was a 15 yr customer of general insurance. I made my last payment 6 days late. The personal acct manager Tam Payne told me that they cancelled my policy since i didnt make my payment on the exact date it was due, and was charging me a 46 dollar reinstate fee. Then told me a extra payment of 60 dollars was added to my account also. I obviously got upset and asked her to shop me around. Tam payne told me to shop myself around. SO I DID!!! Then Tam payne refused to cancel my policy. Her manager told me she would cancel my policy at her own time when she felt like it. So i contacted progressive personally to cancel my policy. Then progressive told me i wasnt charged a 46 dollar reinstate fee or the extra 60 dollar payment that Tam

I can't believe I forgot to review them last year. I called around to everyone under the sun in this state to insure my house car. A few more google searching lead me to them and in a bid of desperation I went down to their office in person. In under an HOUR they were able to do what I couldn't in a MONTH. They were so kind, the facility is so beautiful and clean, very professional, very quick. I genuinely cannot thank them enough for all that they did. I refer them to everyone who is looking for insurance. Thank you so much for your professionalism, kindness and prompt help!

After calling around to numerous agencies in this area, many of which never answered or returned my phone call, I reached Mandy Early at General Insurance Services in Asheville. She was eager to help me find the lowest insurance rates out of any company that I had spoken to and was attentive to my insurance needs. She has followed up several times to be sure I am in the know regarding my policy. I am so thankful to have found Mandy and General Insurance Services, who have made my life easier (and cheaper!).

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. This has been the most frustrating and disappointing experience I’ve ever had with an insurance company. I’ve called them multiple times this week, hoping to get an auto quote while shopping around, but each time I was promised a callback that never came. After three days of this, I was left completely ignored. And on top of that, the customer service was shockingly rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, they falsely claimed that my partner’s license was suspended, but when I called the DMV, they confirmed his license was active. Despite this, the insurance company insisted there was nothing they could do about it, and quoted me a ridiculous $2,300 for the most basic coverage on two vehicles with two drivers who have clean records.
