Ellis Redford - State Farm Insurance Agent

I have been with State Farm since 2008 and my happy relationship with them was destroyed by this State Farm agent, Ellis Radford. He promised updates but did not follow through, emails went ignored, and ultimately his lack of policy knowledge forced me to waste almost four weeks which resulted in no help and little explanation. Over several weeks, he pushed me to change companies (which originally left the impression that he simply did not want to deal with it). It may be true that State Farm is unable to assist in my situation, but due to his previous behaviors and lack of professionalism and knowledge leading up to this- I have a hard time trusting this. Clinton Cook at Ellis Redford provided me with a renters & auto policy here in Salem VA. However for weeks I was unable to get my Auto Insurance ID cards. Dozens of phone calls and emails were made to both State Farm national call centers and to the Ellis Redford local office. I rarely was followed up with voluntarily. Little did I know I was without coverage and despite Clinton Cook's emails indicating that everything was in effect and that underwriters had reversed their decision to cancel the policy. My last day of phone calls to him exposed that in fact my policy had indeed been canceled the day before as indicated by a letter sent to me from State Farm Corporate.
