Given the large personal Property & Casualty insurance premium increases that have hit the market in 2024, it was a good time to have others review the coverages and pricing that we have had for the past 10 years. I received a 22.8% increase in renewal pricing for the HO and Auto insurance premiums for the 2024-25 coverages with no losses. Beveridge & Akers handled the insurance for a friend so I asked for a quote which they quickly honored. End results only a 5.8% price increase over the prior year along with some coverage improvements (between $400 and 500.00 savings). Vanessa truly was a light in a dark tunnel, no pun actually intended. Going through a separation I was absolutely confused on what I needed and afraid I wouldn’t be able to figure it all out on my own then being surprised with having to find my own home insurance (previous mortgage company provided) and especially getting various outrageous rates back, I was really not enjoying this intro to an exciting new future.
