Courtney Owens - State Farm Insurance Agent

While I rarely take the time to write reviews, I feel like this review needed to be posted. I have always had State Farm in which my agent was phenomenal. I recently got married in May, and I my husband who also has a policy with State Farm suggested I be moved to his policy to consolidate and be on one policy as opposed to two separate policies. His agent is Courtney and after looking at the terrible reviews, I hesitantly agreed and figured it would be fine. HUGE MISTAKE. My husband reached out to Courtney in April to let her know about the upcoming change in which it was requested I be moved to his policy by May. We had to continue reaching out to both Courtney and her assistant MULTIPLE TIMES for MONTHS when we kept separately getting billed only to be told that they had submitted the c

Courtney has always been amazing and extremely helpful. Whether it’s tracking down a tow service after a vehicle total or just staying in constant communication as changes are happening for my account. Courtney is very friendly and makes me feel like a care as a person not just a policy. Her involvement in her community speak volumes to her character. If I could give 0 starts I would. Lou Owen’s is TERRIBLE. She’s rude and over talks customers. Doesn’t know what she’s talking about yet tries to tell others how to do their job. She sells insurance. Not cars. Stay in your lane with insurance and know what you’re talking about before you try to tell someone how to do their job. I would NEVER send anyone to her. Go to Mark Crump in Hampton. I’m not sure how she even has her own agency. Needs to be shut down IMMEDIATELY

I had to call / email multiple times to try and resolve cancelling my insurance with no success. Courtney's mom Lou was unwilling to access my account, argumentative and insisted that she talked to me and had confirmed my policy had been cancelled and refused to do anything else. I NEVER spoke with her pertaining to the cancellation as my prior experience with her was so bad. I contacted customer service to confirm if my policy had been cancelled which it had NOT been. It is clear that Lou is incompetent and dishonest.
