Customer service is terrible. Long story, but my dad apparently has a policy. My mother passed away and my dad is in cognitive decline. I'm trying to get information on his policy for his medicaid paper work and the staff will not help. I've emailed with zero response. I made a call, someone promised me the information would be sent via email in 10-14 days. That's been almost a month. In order to talk to anyone, I need to be with dad (understandable) but he's in tge the nursing home and I'm working so it's pretty hard to keep following up, especially when calls need to be made during business hours. All this could be taken care of if someone would just do their job and send the papers he needs. Incredible how they can employ such lazy and inept personnel.

Shame on BLI for raising a premium by over 60%. This small life insurance policy was started 35 years ago and now you want $533 per quarter and it was $328. Are you kidding? Do you enjoy stealing from seniors?

Better Life honored my mom's policy with ease and paid out the claim amount that was owed quickly and efficiently. Thankyou.

We had some issues with some things, but Jane Zeller (or agent) helped us make it right. She showed up in person to help us get it all straightened out. There was some issues with getting things straight for when the child reaches the age of 21 there was not a notice. All in all the company does care. Another big thing is how the main office customer support being more helpful in making the payments if we need to even if the kid is over 21. Otherwise I'm satisfied with how they help to make it right.

BetterLife became my provider after the merger with National Mutual Benefit a few years ago. I haven't had to have any interactions with the company besides making premium payments. However, I find their website very not-user friendly. I test software for a living, so I know when a website is not as usable as it could be. There is no way to submit changes to address or phone number anywhere (I would have expected it to be in the Profile or something). Also, when trying to submit a contact request through their online form, it kept saying anything I put in the message free text box contained "blocked words" with no more details about what words were blocked (all I said is I needed to update my address). I'll give them the benefit of a doubt and assume their direct customer service is good,
