So far so good. I’m about 4 years into the policy with 3 claims that have been paid. When I was first shopping around prior to signing up, I noticed a few other companies who only were willing to pay 50% of parts and labor not including SOS which made my decision easy. They are a great company! Signed up through a very kind agent named Jean who is always on top of everything especially when it comes to claims. I like the fact that they don’t have maximum payouts and they pay my mechanic directly. Had a transmission replacement approved and only paid my $75 deductible. The second time I used it was for a temperature sensor, also replaced with my deductible, and the most recent one was my piston rods which also were replaced. No complaints whatsoever and highly recommend giving them a shot.
I’m located in Southern California and my experience with SOS Auto Protect has been nothing but positive so far. My car started making a loud knocking noise on the freeway and I had to pull over and get it towed to a shop in Irvine. I told the shop I had SOS and once they diagnosed the issue, they called SOS directly. I was expecting a fight because everyone in California knows how expensive repairs are and how hard it is to deal with warranty companies, but SOS approved it same day. The rep named Stacy made everything simple and explained exactly what they were covering. It ended up being a major engine component that would’ve cost me over $4,000. SOS paid the shop directly and all I paid was my deductible. No paperwork, no arguing, no chasing anyone down. That kind of service is rare her
They definitely do what they say they do!! I’m about 1 year in and so far so good. I’ve already had a replacement on my Fuel pump and from start to finish, Liam was helping me throughout it all. They paid my mechanic directly as they said they would. Didn’t need to pay for it and get refunded like my last warranty so it was definitely a better experience already. Thank you liam and the SOS team for making it work!!
If it was possible to give them ZERO stars, I would!! Worst rating for customer service. I have had my truck in for almost a month now. SOS is impossible to reach on the phone. I waited on hold for over an hour one day. Their claims manager doesn't call back, and there is no direct phone line to the claims department. They seem completely like a fraudulent operation, even though they sound nice on the phone. I paid for the ultimate coverage and can't even get them to call me back. If you are considering this company for your extended warranty, run away!!! I will never recommend them, and would tell the world about how bad they really are if I could get the message out there. My 2013 Jeep had issues with the radiator leaking and overheating, so I brought it to my shop. They called SOS with the diagnosis and everything was approved within hours. I was expecting a whole back-and-forth situation but it never happened. The rep, Brian, was easy to deal with, answered all my questions, and made sure I understood the process. The repair ended up costing over fifteen hundred dollars but SOS took care of it right away and paid the shop directly.
