HPSO has gone really down hill. I held a individual professional liability policy with them for 8 years. This year they sent me my renewal information as usual, I paid and they debited my account for this, but they never sent me my policy documents which I always receive via email within 24 hours of my payment. I emailed multiple times with no response. When I finally called in, they said that I needed to upgrade my policy to a business policy and that I am currently uninsured. No one ever notified me in any way, and they just let my policy lapse. When trying to set up a business policy they wanted 6x the amount that I usually pay and told me that they could not reinstate my individual policy despite already paying and did not return my money. Double charged my yearly payment because of a website issue on their end and somehow they cannot see that I made more than one payment so my only option is to email them the info and hope that they refund me the double payment which is over $150. Hopefully I get a refund but it is a very inconvenient time of year for this to happen with finances already being very tight and I will not be renewing with them again. *I wrote this review a month ago and just want to edit so people know that I’m STILL trying to get the refund. I will give them that they tried to send it this morning and my card was locked so that was on me, but it’s been over a month at this point. I held an insurance policy with this company and have called multiple times, left two voicemails, and even sent a message through their website — yet I still haven’t received a return call to renew my policy. This company is quick to have an automated system collect your credit card information, but getting an actual person to call you back seems nearly impossible. Very disappointing and a clear example of terrible customer service!
I have emailed 3x since October with no response. I called and was put on hold for 30 minutes, and no one answered to help me simply access my policy. I left a message, and no callback yet. I have recently sent another email and hope that I get a response. I set up a costly policy and cannot access the policy from my e-mails that I registered under. I have no access to how they are billing me.
Doubled my rates the second year. When I discussed it with them, they said that I was initially given a discounted rate, which was never discussed before. I voiced that I would be looking for other service and they charged me and renewed my service anyways later that month. It was done on a Sunday morning so that nobody was available to dispute the charges with. I am still disputing with the bank. Non communicative and dishonest company. I would look somewhere else. I see your response. I've already contacted the office. They promised a refund. I still have a charge outstanding of $3118
