Did business here for five years, after gross miscommunication recently on their end, and becoming hard to reach they refused to make things right. They left me days to hire a new broker, in California you can now face penalties not having insurance. They would not even tell me if my plan is going to lapse or continue. This is all after having to deal with horrible phone calls with them acting irritated. They had the audacity to call ME abusive to their staff for trying to communicate my frustration. I have never experienced this from a business in my life. I am an understanding person and always try to give others the benefit of the doubt. I never by any means acted abusive... Don't be fooled by the one good rating, it was from before these people took over. Terrible service. The George Petersen Insurance people are disorganized and apparently not ashamed of it. Multiple requests over several months from several family members have been either partially fulfilled or ignored completely. Not a word of apology, just CYA buck-passing. "That's someone else's responsibility. Here's how you can contact them." is not a helpful reply when asked for information that should have been forthcoming many weeks earlier. Nor is "I don't know what happened to your requests. I'll look into it." If you need insurance, run away! It's hard to imagine how an insurance agency could possibly be worse.
