Encompass insurance

Awful! Cancelled my policy Feb 6 and they are REFUSING A REFUND! Unfortunately going to have to contact NYS. Avoid at all costs

Had an accident with my car. We are now a month into the claim and they won't authorize it to be fixed or total it out. I've emailed and called every day for the last 2 weeks. They blatantly disregard NYS regulations. Had to file a complaint with Department of Financial Services. Still no answers, now I have to send all this info to a lawyer and see if he can get them to make a decision. Total mess, changing my company

Unfortunately, I had to file a complaint with NY state against Encompass for stonewalling my claim. They repeated send estimates of lower quality items or in some cases completely incompatible items with the items that were destroyed in the flood at my house. I can't believe I went 13 years not realizing what a crappy insurance company I had for my homeowner's policy. Definitely would not recommend.

encompass won't cover your entire car !!!!! I was involved in a hit and run so I had to use my own ins and they wouldent cover my 4 yr old exhaust(that i had reciepts for) that broke apart in the accident. I had to duct tape my exhaust to drive my truck home!!!! Even tho they towed it to the shop in the first place because the exhaust was hanging! I dealt with terrable people who would not help me and they were snappy and rude to me !!! I will NEVER go back! They lost a customer of 6 yrs!

Must be one of the worst, least efficient insurance companies in existence. They would leave you dead on the side of the road even if you were a 10 year customer and cousins
