CAUTION: Do not use this company! I have been a customer of Doherty for roughly 4 years (maybe longer). I only used this company because my husbands family goes here (they will be changing)! I went through Traveler's for the best rate. I had a terrible experience with Traveler's this past April including a rear accident (which I was at fault), however an investigation was done stating I did not cause damage. NO ONE from Travelers or Doherty was in contact with me updating me of the situation. I had to constantly call for updates. I received a renewal policy in the mail recently from Doherty with my insurance increasing about $68 a month! I then called literally in tears and spoke with my "agent", Emma Abraham who stated this was due to the points on my record. I was instructed to call the

This is a 5 star company. The Doherty's have taken care of my insurance for years and they have taken care of my family as well. They give me the best rates and the best service. It's nice to never have to worry about insurance and whether it's my car, my home or my business, I know I'm protected. Everyone in this office is top notch......they are extremely knowledgeable and they go above and beyond. You will never be disappointed in them. Nicest people you ever would want to do business with.

Recently switched to Doherty Insurance to get both homeowners and auto insurance. Switched from a different “full service” insurance agency, who didn’t give great service. Saved a LOT of money (switching both auto and homeowners to Plymouth Rock/Bunker Hill, which is a very well rated insurance company for both auto and homeowners.). I appreciated the professionalism, and the work they did to get competitive quotes from multiple carriers. When I recently called to change coverage for a child who lives out of state (you CAN exclude and unexclude kids who move away temporarily to save money) I was thrilled with the professionalism and ease working with the agent there. Kudos to the team at Doherty insurance for your extreme professionalism!!!!

After Jane left this insurance company the quality of customer service went downhill fast. I had been with them for over a decade and I recently contacted them twice—via a direct email message and their website's contact form—to see if they could lower my car insurance policy rate with Plymouth Rock which was nearly $1,200...absurd considering I've had no accidents and my mileage was just about non-existent since I worked from home for the past few years. A week went by and no one ever got back to me. I then called them to cancel the Plymouth Rock policy after doing my own research and getting a lower rate with Liberty Mutual. As a business owner, I know the value of great customer service and personal care. When you find it in an Insurance company, you sleep a little sounder.
