Discovery Insurance Company

I was a bit nervous to work with Discovery Insurance after one of their drivers rear ended me after seeing some of the negative reviews here, but I need to shout out Samantha because was so easy to work with on my total loss process. She was quick to respond and communicate via email and the whole process went much smoother than expected. It took a bit longer than if I had dealt with my larger insurance company, but for a small firm I appreciated Samantha’s quick responses and support. My only negative was the original claim agent asking if I could pay to move and tow my car from the lot where it was accumulating fees while the claim was being investigated. This didn’t seem like a reasonable ask since the accident was not my fault, even if it would be reimbursed.

This place sucks. I called to make a claim Wednesday Jan 28th 2026 they gave me a claim number and said wait couple days they’ll reach back out, send me a text or email. A week later nothing happened. I had to reach back out (02/04/2026) just for them to say they didn’t have any contact information about me, even though I gave them my email and number the first go around. It’s whatever we’re talking now so they connect me with my claims person and he tries to send me a email or text… nothing, he said there was some kind of problem and that he’ll reach back out tomorrow. Did he? Nope. 02/05/2026 called back again and the only thing they can do is leave him a message to call me back… Did he? Nope. And now we’re here today 02/06/2026 wish me luck because I’m going to try again

I’ve been with this company for years now and if you are one day late they will cancel your policy. Why don’t yall have a grace period like other companies? I am about to switch companies. I can’t even make a payment when it’s canceled to reinstate it. I have to call my insurance carrier and guess what!!! They are closed on the weekend.

I am writing this review to share my claim experiences in dealing with Discovery insurance. To be honest, I was very skeptical after seeing all kinds of negative reviews...My car was rear ended by a driver holding their insurance. The claim filing was easy; after 48 hours an adjuster (Cat C) was assigned. The appraiser showed up within a week. Mt adjuster Cat C was very cooperative and wonderful. My claim got delayed a bit not because of the insurance company, but due to the other driver, as he was not cooperating for the typical investigation process which dragged the process. But they provided me the rental car and I chose the body shop as per my wish. Kelly was really nice to speak with… Update, I had to apologize to Ms, Angel, she’s such a sweetheart, there’s been a lot of changes to my policy, a lot of confusion. I think we just had a rough start. But today 12/22/25, she helped me SOOOOOO much on clarifying and getting my policy together. And I am very thankful for her! Ms. Angel, you’re my girl! Thank you againnnnnnn!!!!!!! If I have any problems in the future, I know exactly who to call.😉💕
