Cigna

Cigna has terrible customer service. If you have a dependent under 13 on their own plan, Cigna will flat out refuse to let you use their website to access your dependent's account information. They falsely claim that the Child Online Privacy Protection act prevents them from granting account access to minors or their legal guardians or parents, however, this is a lie, it only requirements them to obtain permission from the legal guardian. In my opinion this is nothing but a ploy to make it hard to access their services and the State of Tennessee needs to crack down on this shameful behavior on Cigna's part. If you find yourself in this position, your only means of access your dependents account information is to navigate archaic phone trees from the 1900s. Cigna, please get with the 21st c

CS Reps are incredibly poorly trained. They have switched to Healthsprings who are even worse. For just basic questions you are on the phone for hours. Time to look for a new company when open enrollment begins again.

Cigna doesn't provide what the customer needs. For the price I pay monthly for this insurance, I barely receive anything back. They will not cover medications my doctor tells me I need. They denied the coverage of medication that improves my overall health. They wouldn't cover my mammagram because they saw a spot that turned out to be nothing but yet they wouldn't cover my mammagrams and heaving it done every six months is expensive. I don't think they cover anything for me anymore, even though I pay them every month and I get nothing back. If it wasn't required for me to have insurance, I wouldn't have it because all they do is take my money.
