Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company

I contacted them via their website about getting values statements for my 2 policies. The request was time sensitive. I received a response saying that it had to be mailed. Three weeks later and I had not received it. I contacted them again through their website, but I did not get a response. I called, and the phone rep was very polite and professional. She did not see any record of my previous messages, which was frustrating. She then advised me that to obtain copies of my policies, Boston Mutual charges a $10 fee per policy. But why? Or why don't they have a website where this can be accessed by their customers for free? Eleven years paying into a policy and you're charging for access to the information?

Wowwww! This is wild!! Since both my husband's and my term life policies are ending soon, and my job has this company for life and AD, we were going to sign up with this company. But, NOPE! NOT ANYMORE. I need to warn my 10,000-member union team, as I know some of them were considering transferring to this company as well. It's a hard NO!

I have called at different days and times. Every time I hang up because after 45+ minutes I'm still waiting in line. Another example of a company who's readily available to take your money but have little to no support after you sign a contract.

After experiencing a loss and having to deal with their customer service is horrible and saddening. Not only are you trying to prove countless times the documents have been sent multiple times per their request only to be told, we can’t find them. How is that even possible? People pay into this life insurance for the sake of helping their family in the time of need or for security. They have no problem collecting the money, but seem to have an issue when needing to make a payout!? It’s been 2 1/2 months since the passing of a family member and I’m still dealing with the claim. I will continue to express my frustration and concern until this is right. Until then NO, I will not recommend this company and will advise others not use them.
