My experience with Auto‑Owners Insurance has been nothing short of infuriating. Their insured driver caused severe damage to my vehicle, yet the company handled the situation with an unbelievable level of incompetence. They initially approved only four days of rental coverage, later extending it to six—as if anyone could realistically obtain parts, disassemble a damaged vehicle, complete body work, repaint it, and reassemble everything in that timeframe. The expectation alone shows how disconnected and unprofessional their process is. The service I received was dismissive, unhelpful, and completely lacking in common sense. I have had two claims in the span of one month due to getting hit while stopped at red lights. After the second incident, I was assigned to Jack Vea who was amazing. He was diligent about responding to questions and the claims process was seamless. Things got done quickly. He was informative and always positive and nice. While I hope to never have to file a claim again, if I do, I will be asking for Jack again. Auto-Owners handled the issue and is going after the other driver for me after his insurance bailed on the initial claim. My experience with Jack Vea from Auto Owner's Insurance was as good as one could hope for considering the difficult circumstances. He was ready to answer questions whenever it was necessary, and he showed sincere concern with my situation. He did all he could to make things as right as possible and his communication was always friendly. Everything was handled as quickly as possible and to my satisfaction. This is all especially good when you consider he is not my insurance man. It was someone that was insured through this company that ran into my car. Working with him was a positive experience. If I hadn't been with the insurance company that I've used for so many years, I would consider switching to the one he works for.
