Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield

Told my partner their policy didn’t allow them to update their name/date of birth….its legally required to update your name if there’s been a name change. They’ve also consistently tried to scam money out of them by talking about how you have to “cancel plans twice” after you no longer have access to the plan you’re supposed to cancel the plan again? Worst insurance providers to deal with ever. Belittling, will laugh at you, even when they’re clearly in the wrong.

Good news! Anthem themselves is a pretty good insurer even though they've end my plan for my area for 2026. The big problem is Liberty dental and Nations benefits which are a bad trip!

Terrible. Meds are cheaper without insurance. The only impressive thing is how quickly they deny claims. Shame on this fraudulent company

Not happy about receiving phone calls at 8am and not just here and there it's been several for several mins lasting please remember your clients are mainly elderly and you should call after 10am.

This has got to be the worst insurance company I have ever had to work with in my adult life. I have worked with other Blue Cross Blue Shields that are top notch, but this one is god awful. I have a plan through the Maine Insurance Marketplace because my current employer does not offer benefits. I thought getting a silver plan, which they tout to have the best benefits for the cost would be decent, but i was dead wrong. They fight you tooth and nail on everything you need. You are told to stop PT and go to ortho because the doctor feels the PT may be causing additional harm, only for them to deny the referral because you didn't finish PT, knowingly putting the patient at risk of further injury.
