I have been insured with Ankeny over a year, the renewal seemed difficult for them and I was never told to expect a bill for my bond so my license ended up getting suspended and I found out from a client that it was suspended due to lack of bond. When I contacted Ankeny, Addie told me it was my fault because I didn't read my mail, never apologizing for miscommunication or showing the slightest empathy. I told them I would be looking elsewhere for coverage and their response was ok. Iv never had to make a claim thankfully and I'm not confident they would handle it to their best ability.

Ankeny canceled my homeowners insurance, without any claims over the years, without the courtesy to call me & explain the problem & offer help. Their terse letter claimed that my property did meet their wildfire eligibility. Their business communications are sorely lacking.

I'd give no stars if I could. Will set up my renters insurance, and entered the wrong email address. So, I wasn't getting any notifications. He knew I was moving across country, took my money when I was in VA, and I never heard from him again. No check in, no follow up - which wasn't surprising because he was not reliable when I initially contacted him. However, I needed renters insurance, so I proceeded. I had given him my card number for the initial charge - then nothing. Now, my policy is canceled. I chose Nationwide (which I'll have words with) b/c I've had my auto insurance through them for decades. Never late. Never any issues. Good Insurance company. They insured me for the last 6 years with no problems or issues at all. Worth a quote for sure.
