Stay clear of the Sault Ste. Marie branch. I had my payments coming from a credit card that expired. I had sent my local agent a void cheque as replacement with no less than 3 requests to process my new void, AND had the outstanding balance taken out of my account in May. Two weeks later my home insurance "lapsed" due to "non-pay" which is like a black stain on your insurance history. When I would ask my agent for help and an explanation he would say "I'm on it" or "I'm working with an underwriter to fix it". This never happened.... My husband died last July and I was treated very ignorantly by Tom in the Sault Ste Marie office. Not just once. I asked for help and he didn't care. He told me to go somewhere else for insurance. Real nice. Thanks for nothing.

I have auto and tenants insurance with Allstate. I tried calling multiple times to get a quote on a new vehicle and waiting on hold multiple times for 30-45 minutes. I thought I'd go up to the office to get a quote in person and there was no one there that could help me.
