I never received my medical membership card after joining 1/22. My experience has never been worst with any company I do business with. I tried for 3 days and multiple calls to different #s to reach someone in the customer service who could help. One fellow I spoke to during my efforts transferred me to a Chinese recording. I do not speak Chinese. Ref: CLMT-CC171-586-VAM-ZSRP4. John in customer service at 9:50 AM on 2/4 was able to help and confirm my membership card has been mailed 2/2.
I logged into update the mailing address on file but that cannot be done online. I then called the member service number twice and inputted the ID number only to be transferred to an agent each time. Even though I had inputted the ID number both agents wanted it again and both spoke with a thick accent and though I could understand them, they could not understand me. I called again and spoke with a supervisor named Brian who spoke clearly but the call dropped so I gave up. BTW, their website reloads at a glacial pace. The poor quality of service from Aetna does not surprise me given the history of poor service and refusal by Aetna to pay medical bills that other members of my family have received while under the care of Aetna.
I made the decision to leave the hopsital Sharp of which my family has been going to for a very long time because of Aetna in large part. so many countless hours wasted fighting with their concierge team over things that were denied that shouldn’t and also, what kind of provider doesn’t cover an epi pen? I can’t wait to leave their “coverage” in January.
Keep getting procedures denied after an assault. Trying to get an MRI of shoulder and brain but they use a third party that seems to deny everything. They want a peer to peer w my doctor for my shoulder which has been in agony for 45 days. Their turn times are ridiculous and that’s not conducive for efficient treatment! Leave people in agony for 15 BIZ days.. then you can’t schedule appointments for about 4-6 weeks. I suffered a concussion and felt brain damaged.. still don’t feel 100% and get headaches a lot. Absolutely useless.. but this is what happens when people’s health is monetized in a ruthlessly, capitalistic country.
the worst insurer ive ever had. Customer service is unbelievably horrific, so rude, unhelpful, prepare to waste literally dozens of hours trying to complete the simplest task.
