AAA Phillipsburg

Currently waiting over 3 hours for a tow. The representative informed me that it would not be over 45 minutes and it was a slow night so it shouldn’t take long. If she just was upfront from the start then I would have been able to arrange other plans. Awful awful services. Ended up paying $250 for a ride which could have been easily avoided. What’s the point of AAA if this is the outcome?

On June 24 2025 in record breaking heat my vehicle broke down on the travel lanes of Rt 519 outside of Phillipsburg. I called AAA roadside assistance for tow. I was told the would get someone right out and I would get text updates. Over 3 hrs later their tow service arrived and got me out of there. Passerby helped push me off the road or things could have been bad. This will never happen again to me will never deal with them again. Would have added copies of the text stream which went from 25 min to 117min then after hours went to 25 min again but they have their text app set up so you have no history to pass on. Then today they send me a survey. What a joke they are. I will be dropping all involved services with them and can only say stay away from AAA.

AAA is becoming a joke. On 12/2/24 I was stuck in Morristown. No prob w/the wait as it was only an hour. Ended up a new battery was bought from them & driver put it in. However a couple weeks later I got stuck again luckily in a parking lot. I called AAA & on a Sunday morning the wait was going to be at least 2 hrs. However my son who lives nearby came to my rescue w/a jump box. It wasn’t the battery this time. It was because the tow driver when putting my battery in broke the positive terminal part & now it cost me $160 to fix. If these drivers don’t know protocol get rid of them. This is a disgrace how bad AAA has become. I have other horror stories about them also but won’t get into that here. Better off getting roadside assistance from your car insurance company. Certainly can’t be any

I went to AAA Philipsburg to obtain an International Driver's License. Donna was very efficient and kind. The whole process took less than 20 minutes to complete. Customer service is still alive at this establishment!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I waited 16 hours for a tow. Originally called Wednesday 12/18 and was told an ETA of 7:30, which then got pushed till 8:30, and then 10PM. After the third update after 10Pm the only friendly representative Laura told me I could do an Unattended Pickup, which would have been great to know before I sat there for hours and hours waiting. Fast forward, the tow company Rossnagle calls me and lets me know they wouldn’t be coming tonight but instead would come pick it up at 8AM. It is now 10:30AM and the car is just being picked up, and I have now likely missed my car appointment scheduled for today despite emphasizing to them on the phone it needed to be dropped off at the shop first thing.
