AAA Northampton County

Went for notary services on 1/13/26, to remove my name from a jointly held PA title. The agent insisted on selling the remaining owner all new plates rather than just using a title-only transfer and leaving the existing plate on the car. The agent (citing her 16 years of work) used form MV-1 rather than form MV-4ST, which triggered new registration. Go on Penndot's site you will see that MV-4ST is the appropriate form for used cars that are already titled in PA--I have since verified this was an error that cost me an additional $91.70. The supervisor used scare tactics to get us to just pay (that if we drove home with a title-only transaction we would be illegal), when the correct thing to do would have been to tell us to go elsewhere or come back after they researched the matter--they

Useless service, pay for the membership and they won’t tow your vehicle unless it’s under certain circumstances that work for them. Absolutely ridiculous.

The school is very professional, and their classes were well-organized. They offer both theory and practical lessons, which helped me understand road safety better. My only complaint is that scheduling my practice sessions took longer than expected, but overall, I’m happy with the results

If there was a way to give them zero stars, for this instance, I would. My vehicle originally broke down due to a rear differential issue. In that time at the mechanics getting fixed, they reload it to a garage. I caught up on my bill and just needed it towed back so we could continue to get fixed to the garage, they denied me that stating that they do not deal with that, but did not give me any rules or regulations. I then had to ask my wife who just had surgery and who is on a feeding tube to attempt to drive the vehicle back. Then called Back and stated if we break down will they be able to tow us, and they said no. I am a US Army veteran. And I believe how AAA treated their veteran today was completely uncalled for. We did everything right by the book and they still said no.

Robert VanDenHeuvel was extraordinary. He literally showed up 5 minutes after hanging up the phone with our operator. When he arrived I had only requested for my spare to be put on. Upon removing the wheel with the flat tire; Robert was quick to see that it could be fixed with a patch. He did it for me and got my vehicle safe to drive again all within 10 minutes of arriving. He also gave me a lot of useful information as I’m a new AAA member. As long as people like Robert represent AAA, it’s safe to say I will be a member FOR LIFE. Thank you again Robert for you excellent customer service and efficient work flow! 10 of of 5!
