Sun Life Financial

I was added to my husband’s insurance two months ago. Today I visited the eye doctor and the needed to bill through VSP for sun life, only to find they didn’t add my info to their system because sunlife didn’t update it. Called the customer services 4 times, 2 sent me directly to VSP who told me sunlife has to call them to update it not me. Another 1 said she’ll do it but she hung me up after I waited for her for 15 minutes. Not talking to the 4th one. Hopefully it will work. It’s been two months. They should already have every document updated! If not, the customer service should at least try to solve my problem instead of kicking me to VSP or hanging me up all the time. I’ve been in the doctor’s office for 4 hours now. Not sure how much longer do I need to stay.

In all my years of dealing with insurance/disability company's, Sun-Life is by far the worst group of uncaring, incompetent people I have ever come across. I currently am going on over two months waiting for claim to be approved. Which I started the day of my accident. Sadly it would appear I will need a lawyer to collect what is owed to me.. If your company is using or intends on switching, protest.. Do not expect Sun-Life or any of there case worker's ie.(Caitlin Marino) to do anything to assist in helping you get back in you feet after a accident.

Terrible at paying out in a timely manner. Literally have to babysit my claim, and call in several times a month for payments to be processed. Have to go through the entire phone tree just for them to leave a message with my case manager, who then in turn calls and leaves a generic message for me to call back if I still need help.
