Steve Switala - State Farm Insurance Agent

If giving negative stars were possible, I would. In my experience, State Farm had no issue charging me twice; however, when I requested a refund—during a period when I could not make rent or afford basic groceries—the process was unnecessarily prolonged. It took six days from my initial call before any attempt was made to issue the refund. Additionally, the explanations I received over the phone did not align with the actual circumstances. Each interaction I have had with Steve’s staff has been disappointing and stressful. Based on my experiences and the continually increasing policy fees, I cannot recommend State Farm, though I will acknowledge that they remain one of the more affordable providers offering windshield coverage.

Signed up for auto insurance under Steve back in 2013 when I was going to NAU. I kept it with zero claims and added renters and eventually hom owners over the years. Suddenly got auto dropped a little over a year ago due to their billing error so I swapped to another provider but kept my home owners with State Farm until they nearly doubled my rate this year on the house I lived in for years now without a claim. Moved everything over to USAA and attempted to cancel but the rep 'has to send everything to my agent who will review' it which makes no sense. Didn't have this problem with the other providers I cancelled who all have 24/7 lines and took minutes to get cancelled. Statefarm was good until around 2 years ago when they can't get anything right while drastically increasing the cost. N

We were just dropped by state farm from our car insurance because we had "Too many" glass claims. While that is frustrating, state farm is a large corporation that likely gives the local agents limited say in who they decide to cover. The reason for this 1 star review is the terrible communication from Steve and his team at the local Flagstaff office during this time. Multiple emails and phone calls went unanswered and we felt like we were in the dark from State Farm as they made the decision to drop us. Don't expect much to any communication from them if you ever have any issues with your coverage.

⭐️⭐️⭐️Ask 4 Haley⭐️⭐️⭐️ Let’s talk about life. Cost are going up, customer service isn’t what it use to be… However Haley is breaking that stigma. Friendly, knowledgeable & caring. Haley went above & beyond- answered any question w/o hesitation, gave me multiple quotes for different coverage types. I had 6mo left on my other insurance company & just needed to add my spouse. Their “off brand” insurance cost more then the “name brand” that State Farm is. I decided that I wanted to be at a place with a person who knows what’s she’s doing as well as saving me some money. 10/10 will go with Haley every time. So if you’re looking for a reliable, knowledgeable & caring person, go with Haley!!

I have used Steve's office for nearly 20 years and find him and his staff to be extremely friendly and wonderful to deal with when needed. A few years ago I had extreme hail damage to my roof and was issue free dealing with State Farm whereas my friends who had other companies had big time issues trying to get repaired. I recently had a few dents on my car and I received the check for repair before I even got my car fixed!
