State Disability Insurance

Got here around 10:13am on Tuesday. The guard said the line was not too bad. I had handful of ppl in front of me. They were calling 267 and I was 279. It took about 20 min when my number got called. The lady with the cute heart glasses was really nice and courteous. Why can’t every gov employee like her?! Though she couldn’t quite help me with the error msg I got online when setting up as a claimant (due to the existing profile that I couldn’t reset), she set me up to get a phone call from another dept (not tech support) that was able to just sent me link to reset pw without having to enter my previous benefit check amt (from 12 years ago!) the Edd guy on the phone also admitted to the flaw the system has and apologized. Despite everyone being really nice and caring, my situation wasn't resolved amd I still left with no real answer. For anyone who has been in the similar situation, I was receiving my disability checks by mail fine until 10/22.... I am now missing 4 checks! EDD shows and says they were mailed out, and normally I have received the checks within 4 days. How I am missing 4 checks, plus one they reissued to the first one that was originally missing... is really alarming. If anyone has been in this situation, what was resolved? Is there a solution? Is it on EDD or the post office?

After visiting the Los Angeles office and getting turned away without any help, not even looking at my claim for PFL (staff giving everyone attitude). I was helped by these really nice people at the van Nuys location.

Worst system I've seen, had to wait 3 1/2 hours for something they could've fix by answering there fricking phones. Tried calling a whole week before going to wait three hours... ..p.s who ever is in charge, SHOULD GET FIRED 😡

After weeks of calling the EDD customer service and no response whatsoever. I located an in person office. Although this office did not handle Paid family leave I was able to be placed in calling Que for a representative to call me back. Staff were nice as well as the security guard I went at 4:30pm left at 4:40pm and received a phone call about 10 minutes after leaving. Representative was able to answer all my questions about my claim. I was able to find free street parking
