Progressive Insurance - Claims Office

I bought a new car a few years back and had to get full coverage insurance to drive it off the lot. Great. Progressive was the only company that answered the call on a Saturday. Biggest mistake of my life. I called to cancel the policy and rather than canceling the policy when I asked, they kept it going for another month. Charged me $650 for ONE MONTH of coverage. I was a single mom and had no means to pay this. It went to collections almost immediately. I'd rather continue to have my credit score ruined by these lying crooks than pay them a single penny. I recommend people "ANY insurance but Progressive". Progressive also raises your rates out of nowhere by $100+ and blames it on data that is completely irrelevant to the policy holder. So keep that in mind. If you have the means to pay $

Terrible service, Detra Kemp is rude and will deny you on the basis of “ I don’t know “ she fails to provide basic information or will simply ignore you. Beyond a hassle filing a claim so I just submitted a complaint to WVOIC as well and possibly here soon NAIC.

Totaled my daughter’s car, had her go there and release to Downtown Ford body shop in Charleston, WV as totaled. Gave keys and sent title by FedEx to Copart under the assumption we were getting over $7000 for settlement. Agent calls and says…oops I made a mistake. Now we have no car, no title, and no payment. And of course it’s the weekend. Monday will be fun…file a complaint with West Virginia Dept of Insurance, file a police report for stolen vehicle and hire a lawyer. Progressive sucks!!!! Oh and by the way canceled the rent a car on 7/31 because the check was supposed to be deposited. What a joke. Now paying rental fees with no resolution in sight. Make it right Progressive.. pay what your agent said you were paying.

Worst insurance you can get. Kept raising my bill for no reason. Then claimed that they sent me a tome sensitive document that i never got so they refuse to insure me not to mention i have never filed a claim or was ever late paying the payment. But yet if it was so time sensitive the phone number i give them does work but never got a phone call

Had an accident and they have took their sweet time doing supplements. Prices are outrageous compared to other companies, wouldn’t honor my rental longer than 30 days although they were the biggest hold up in my truck being repaired. There was zero issues with my truck before and since the accident the turbos are messed up and they are trying to get out of covering although I have the notification from my ford app as to when the codes were thrown and the truck was being repaired. It’s now been over 75 days and I still haven’t got my vehicle back. Oh yeah and they dropped my coverage because of the accident after trying any way possible to make me add my mother to my policy whom lives on the other side of the country. They are a complete joke.
