Just canceled my insurance that was good until next August because they decided to bill me an additional $21 on top on my full payment of $75 back in August because they made an unauthorized change to my policy coverage a couple of weeks ago. After spending the entire work day on the phone with these morons, they refused to help me so I filed a complaint with the Idaho AG and Dept of Insurance. You're better off going to a slightly more expensive insurer because Progressive is a bait and switch scam. Edit: This experience has actually saved me money. I quickly found new insurance to replace all of my policies and I'm now saving more than $410/yr while Progressive has just lost over $800/yr in business. Thanks Progressive! Your flippant and unprofessional attitude and refusal to fix the pr

HORRIBLE customer service, generally refuse to help, request pre-service money then after you pay they tell you there's no services available and you have no options. Had my car stuck on the side of the highway for three days because the agents were too lazy to continue contacting multiple companies and were only trying to get me off the phone. Paying money every month to switch between automated responses and rude agents with no damn clue whats going on and refuse to read service notes.

I am looking for loan/lease payoff (gap) insurance, and called Progressive. I was told that Progressive will pay out 25% of the car's value. I asked what the value of my car is and was told that it would be determined at the time a claim is filed. In essence, you're going to pay X amount of money to Progressive for this insurance without knowing what Progressive deems is the value of your car UNTIL you file a claim. Why wouldn't you be told what Progressive values your car at BEFORE you commit to buying the coverage?

So Progressive is the only insurance company I've ever heard of that makes you either add your roommate to your policy or fill out paperwork to specifically exempt them from your policy so you're not covered if they ever drive your car, so I exempted my roommate. When my roommate got a job in a different city he moved out and another roommate moved in. When I notified Progressive I had to get information from my new roommate and submit it. Then for some reason they added him to my policy. I had to call up and get him removed from my policy and pay $40+ for when they put him on my policy. I went with Progressive because the insurance broker I went to said they offered the best rate for the coverage I wanted. They were fine and I had no problems with them until they started doing this stupid

David Moore will literally lie to your face on what he has shops fix. I had a bent frame he lied and told me that the measurements were inaccurate. That My truck was gonna get taken to an alignment. Shop to have suspension looked at and then remeasure the frame. Come to find out he was actually adjusting my rear axle to a bent frame and then turned around and went behind my back and fixed the bent frame. When I specifically asked him if my frame was pulled on his answer was no. the documentation clearly shows that it was from somewhere where he took it to.
