Progressive Insurance - Claims Office

Just switched over after being with state farm over 35 yrs, finding it to be a huge mistake. I just received email of new payment schedule and my monthly payment went up enormously!! I called and was told I never sent proof of prior insurance which i did numerous times so now my payment went up!!! This is fraud on their part!! I think I'll be switching back to state farm.

We switched from State Farm (which I had for 30 years) to Progressive. Big mistake. We added a new vehicle online, and my husband forgot to add glass coverage. Actually, he thought he did, as he was trying to mirror the coverage of our other vehicles, but that's a whole other story about the inadequacy of their online system. This new vehicle, a BMW, was hit by a rock and the windshield cracked. Progressive tells us we aren't covered. Okay, fair. We add glass to the coverage. Life goes on. We live in NY, between road construction and our highways being littered with trucks and what not, we get hit with something and now there's a dent in the glass on the driver's side. Progressive ruined my life by incorrectly filing a report. It sounds dramatic but it's true.

worst insurance ever had it for 6 years and had none fault claims and they cancelled my insurance. now im trying to get a new insurance with another provider i cant get full cover because Progressive Claim department dont want to provide me claim letter for all my 3 claim stating that i was not at fault which the record shows i was not at fault! contacted Shanda Douglas from claim department in the beginning she said she was going to help me out with those letters with no problem what so ever then she emailed me just one letter out of 3 with wrong info stating i was 100% at fault! what kind of BS is that when i was not at fault and they have it in their files! now i cant get a hold of her not even her supervisor. this is ridiculous!!! very unprofessional !!

EDIT: Back again. This place is truly useless. After everything over the summer and my previous review, we were finally put in contact with someone that could help but that has once again stopped. We're still waiting to hear anything about our claim, have yet to receive any compensation, and people have just stopped moving out claim along. I cannot believe they're still in business with how we've been treated. This is absolutely outrageous. This place is such a waste of time. Extraordinary unreliable. Kayla Riccardi and been "handling" our claim for just shy of 2 months and has yet to contact us with an update on our car.
