Customer Reviews
As a mental health provider, my experience with Molina Healthcare has been challenging. Fortunately, our practice does not receive many referrals through this insurance plan, although their referral volume has increased this year. In my interactions with Molina Healthcare as a credentialed provider, I have encountered repeated claim denials due to credentialing issues, such as incorrect NPI and Tax ID/EIN numbers. I have corrected these issues multiple times with different provider relations representatives. After the first resolution attempt, I believed the issue was resolved; however, I experienced similar problems a second time. Despite numerous efforts to rectify the matter and secure back payments for past claims, only two claims were paid, with the rest denied. When I contacted the
My experience with Molina Healthcare has been extremely disappointing. Their customer service is frustratingly slow, with long wait times and representatives who often seem poorly trained or unable to resolve basic issues. Getting clear information about benefits and coverage feels almost impossible — I was frequently transferred between departments without any real help. Appointments with doctors in their network were very hard to schedule, often with weeks or even months of delay. Many good providers don't even accept Molina anymore, which left me with very limited options for quality care. Molina initially approved an MRI for my torn ACL. I got one and it showed a torn ACL. Then after I got the MRI, they retroactively denied the MRI, after they had already approved it, and sent me a bill for $1,600. I tried to appeal their decision, but the Molina phone operator hung up after I requested an appeal. Afterwards, they denied my coverage for my ACL reconstruction surgery. Now I can't walk on my right leg. Thanks Molina!
