Meritain Health Inc

Meritain sent a letter to all our hospital employees informing us that our hospital (our 'Provider') was no longer in our plan's network! Oh, and the effective date was retroactive to June 1. (We got the letter on June 19.) Imagine the chaos. It was a mistake, and they sent another letter, but get this, no apology. Instead, they spun it like our hospital decided to stay in Meritain's Plan Network. They're complete idiots. Call center agents are nice enough, but are misinformed and unprofessional. It took them 10 weeks to process a simple vision claim reimbursement. The list goes on. Meritain does not deserve to be in business. Sad.

This is the worst insurance company I ever dealt with. Received multiple forms for a single ER claim. They claim that they never received any of the forms that I mailed to them. Ask to speak to a manager and they'll refuse you. I made multiple calls to get ID cards for my plan starting in January. I received not one but 4 mailings with cards between January 7 and Feb 7! This is a bad company - do not use!

This place is the absolute worst. I have spent three hours on the phone over the course of the last four months trying to get an overcharge resolved. The amount is significant or I would’ve walked away a long time ago. I’m not sure who their accounting team is or what kind of clown show they’re operating, but I would use just about anyone else before I would use them.

Wish that I could give a "no star' rating. We all know that insurance is a joke as the working class pay in endless amounts of money only to be nickel and dimed whenever we are hoping to have procedures covered for what we pay into the system. I had an office hand and elbow surgery (Carpal Tunnel and Cubital Tunnel) and paid roughly $3K cash. I submitted my bills which of course covered the deductible first. I will be getting $232 back from Meritain Health after being told before I did the procedure that I should expect a much larger portion of the money that I spent over my deductible. When I asked why this was the case, I was told other in office surgeries cost "x", and this is what you get. 99% of people have my surgery type in the surgery center or operating room which would have cost

THEY ARE THE WORST IN PROCESSING CLAIMS. THEY TAKE MONTHS TO REVIEW NOTES; MAKE ALL KINDS OF EXCUSES; HAVE FAX MACHINE PHONE NUMBERS THAT DON'T WORK. OUTRAGEOUS!!!!
