They didn't pay. Mom had 2 strokes was in rehab 100 days, then was at our house under 24 hour care, while I was at work I had to hire care takers 10 hours a day. Medamerica only approved 5 hours a day. Mom died of multiple strokes about 2 months ago, they still haven't paid, I sent them the bills and proof of payment like I was supposed to. For 2 months the blamed home instead saying they didn't send the daily tasks they did, they said they had. No today $12800 in cost for care where medamerica said they authorized 110 a day for 5 hours a day or 4400 total, they denied it and said them authorizing the 5 hours at 110 wasn't an approval. They said it's because we didn't have to pay when she was in rehab her insurance did. WTH does that have to do with the home care???? My advise use a differ

I am not certain which customer representatives these callers have delt with, but since we started withdrawing my father's benefits for home care in 2022 I have had nothing but fantastic service. Yes, your loved one does have to be assessed at a determined interval to help them confirm if care is still needed. This can be a bit of a hassle, but other than that MedAmerica has made it possible for my father to stay in his home for the past three years.

My mother enrolled in 2002. Spent an estimate of $23,000 from 2002 to 2018. In 2018, my mother needed home care. This company did nothing but make matters worse, impossible to get answers. By the time we got things in order, my mother past away. Ridiculous loop holes, "changes in the policy, unclear answers, a complete and utter waste of time and money. Wasn't till I filed a complaint with the state did they release information to us. Long term policies are, in my opinion, a scam! DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU ENROLL in any such policy.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. The worst customer service ever. Do not buy if you can. If you already have, good luck. You’re doomed

All I know is that in 8 years, they have not raised the rates. What is with these people who give bad reviews and no reasons why? Sounds like folks doing something they were told to do....
