This insurance company is such a bogus! I rented a storage unit at Cubesmart in Frisco, TX for 2+ years and of course, there was an ice storm hit North Texas late Jan 2026. My unit along with some units unfortunately were impacted from the ice storm because it flooded into the building where units included mine were. The store manager immediately contacted me along with some customers who were affected and of course I filed a claim with Fortegra since it was part of Cubesmart insurance plan. I immediately filed with them shortly after my friends went through my stuff, took a lot of photos, clips, etc at the storage unit. The only reason I gave 1 star is because I couldnt give 0 stars. Don't Bother buying a warranty from this company. You are better off going through Car Shield. Bought a used F250 which Fortegra warrantied but when my U-Joints failed, Fortegra maintains it was due to rust which is NOT covered! A used vehicle in the State of Indiana with rust, go figure. Basically without saying it I'm being told I should have kept my truck in a garage and or lived in Nevada. I wasted 4k on a warranty that has NOT covered any of the issues that I have had. If you do get the warranty, I would let a lawyer and a mechanic read it first before you sign those papers. I work in the Automotive Dealership as Finance & Sales manager and I bought this warranty contract for my vehicle. Being int he business I got the top of the line warranty to make sure if something happened it would be covered. Well when it came down to using it they approved a couple of small claims but not without first trying to decline them and say its not covered and me having to fight with them on the phone with them to cover it. These folks are mailing, or administering the mailing of bogus auto warranty letters. They'll send you a "final notice" a dozen times, and impersonate the IRS envelope look and feel to make the mailer seem urgent. So scummy.

SCAM company. Never been involved with these people. They are randomly sending me letters in the mail try to scam me into their fake warranty services. They attempt to make the letters look like a serious letter from a real company. Avoid at all cost. Report and flag with hopes of removing this listing. Any and all reviews that are above one star are fake reviews. This company is a complete scam. Please stay clear of anything to do with Sky Protection, Lyndon Southern Insurance Company.
