Lester Norwood: Allstate Insurance

I've had my license since I was probably about 15 and some change. I'll be 40 this year. I've been with Allstate this entire time. I've had many agents. They've all been great but I can say this about the agent that I have now and his entire team. Lester Norwood and his entire staff and team are phenomenal. I have come in there with concerns or misunderstandings from scam text messages or any questions in general about insurance. They are always ready to help and happy to do so. They make it such a pleasant and easy experience they really get to know their customers and their clients making you feel at home. And as if we're one big family, they're always looking out to try to help me. And I'm sure the rest of us save money, which is amazing. So for all of y'all out there looking for a good

These people are con artists. They call you up saying they want to give you an insurance quote with a promise of a $25.00 gift card and then will not deliver. Stay away from this place. UPDATE: A woman called me from their office on Jan. 17 and Jan. 20th 2025. She indicated they would work up a quote and send it to me along with a gift card. I never got either one. I called yesterday and spoke with Manny 3 times. He told me this morning he couldn't give me a quote because I don't have insurance which is BS. I am currently insured with GEICO. I switched from Progressive to GEICO in late December 2024. Too bad Lester Norwood didn't call me then.

This agency has been horrible since Jennings left! If I could give zero stars, I would! I have a lapse in insurance coverage on my record after being hit by a drunk driver and being without my vehicle for well over a month while it was being repaired! Because of the lapse in insurance coverage, I had to go under a National General policy which wasn't even explained to me at the time of submitting for a new policy! I got the run around via phone and me doing all the leg work I could, taking it as high as I could to get my original policy reinstated. When I finally got ahold of Lester after me having to call him multiple times (although I was told he'd reach out to me) he tells me the regional office couldn't do anything to reinstate the policy. Was fine until I tried to cancel my policies and was hit with a final bill well above what it should have been. No one in the office or at the Allstate 1-800 number could explain why and I just paid it out of frustration. Seemed very unprofessional and felt like I was scammed

I called Allstate customer service to find out how to go about canceling my insurance. I was informed to send and email to Mr. Norwood, detailing my cancelation date and if I had a new policy elsewhere, to provide that information. I did exactly as I was instructed, plus called the office to verify if my email was received; to which I was informed that it was. This was all done on April 14, 2021. I went to my account online and unenrolled from the automatic payments just in case they (Allstate) would still try to pull the funds. I decided to give Allstate customer service a call on April 21, 2021 in the morning and come to find out that my policy had in fact NOT BEEN CANCELED and that THEY STILL PULLED THE MONTHLY PAYMENT FROM MY ACCOUNT.
