I'm giving L.W. Short Insurance TWO stars instead of ONE because I've used them for a home owners policy for many years and in the past they have been fair in their pricing. That changed recently: My policy was dropped this spring because the insurer is no longer writing policies in my area. No problem. Short was going to find me a new policy. I expected to pay more because of the market. . . . So Cassandra sent me a letter and a new quote. I was gob-smacked at the price hike. Because it was nearly 100% higher than my old policy, I decided to price check. I found another policy with the same coverage for $400 less than the Short quote.
