I live in Pacific Palisades California - about 2,000 yards from the start of the fire. I have State Farm and they are terrible. They simply don't pay their claims no matter what the policy says and I want to find better, more professional and ethical insurance. Somebody told me that AAA was writing policies in 90272 so I went online and filled out their pretty detailed form. They too won't write a policy in 90272. Shocker, right? About 30 minutes later, I get a call from an agency selling Farmers. Note: I didn't call Farmers. They called me from an agency in North San Diego. I don't care if they are on the Moon if they can sell me better homeowners insurance... The person who called me tells me "With 100% certainty, Farmers can write you a policy". I just had my home owner's insurance renewed. While the cost went up, I am happy to have the insurance. Liliana reviewed my policy and was friendly, knowledgeable and able to provide me with a substantial discount by suggesting I get a smart smoke alarm. I appreciated that she took the effort to explain my policy and get me that discount.
