Do not trust this company. My mom has been dead for three years and I have been trying to get a claim of a a measly $950. I have filled out every form they have asked for, tax form, death certificate and letter of NO probate, they continue to ask for an additional form after form. I can only imagine what they put people through who have a substantial $ claim. I will be contacting the BBB. Save yourself frustration andDo NOT PURCHASE A POLICY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Do NOT sign up for life insurance with John Hancock. I have been trying to close my father's 4 policies for over two months. There are no online accounts and you cannot create one. You are forced to call every time to go through a long process only to end up with a "rep" in the Philippines. They will try to help, but they have no idea what they are doing and will completely tell you misinformation. So I have learned to ask for the United States. They don't like to do this and you will go through another long wait and maybe another Filipino "rep" again. The U.S. reps have a bit more knowledge and they will tell you to fill out the forms (and email them if you ask). You do this, wait 10 or more business days and then you receive a letter in the mail telling you to fill out the same p

John Hancock Life Insurance Company LTC did not process or notify me that my request for Coverage Changes dated 5/14/24 couldn't be processed. Only after the increased premiums took effect on 8/13/24 did I know that something was wrong. There were many phone calls and discussions that took place before we finally got the correct coverage changes processed and refunds made, after nearly a month had passed. Repeated requests for a supervisor to return my calls were made but no supervisor ever called me, Their customer service is non-existent!

Shyster place has failed to send me even a SINGLE statement in 14 years of my account's existence - think the MA Attorney General may be interested in THAT tidbit. & dealing with the totally unsupervised clowns to whom John Hancock outsources 401k operations is like being on a friggin' hidden camera show instead of speaking to a professional financial firm (including little unsupervised "Nashra," who looked up my account and shouted "oh wow" into the phone, and her equally unsupervised sleazeball colleague "Mitch," who refused to simply give me a website and LAUGHED at me for even asking the question).
