Janice Burges: Allstate Insurance

Everyone is so friendly and helpful when I need assistance with my policies. They always know who I am as a name and not a number, which is refreshing nowadays. Janice and her staff do annual reviews and check for policy discounts to help save money, which I appreciate very much.

Not sure who I talked to today, as I was in shock at the rude customer service. I occasionally help my parents make calls, and today was one of those days. “Do your parents not speak English,” She asked. Rude, and completely unexpected. She proceeded to say that it was company policy to have the main person call since there will be a soft credit pulled, so they needed authorization. Okay, that’s totally fine and understandable, and could have said that instead of asking about my parent’s language. I called the 1800 number instead. The lady was super nice and apologized for the First Ladies behavior. I had to hang up to call my dad and tell him the situation, and then I called a second time. I did not tell the lady what had happened. I let her know I was calling for my parents, and she said

Janice worked hard to find a better price on our car insurance. We appreciated that very much.

This agency is probably fine but my lack of stars relates to Allstate as a company. Came to them 6 years ago after increases at previous carrier for no reason. Now Allstate has done the same with zero claims, 100% on time bill pay and no tickets... also with no viable explanation other than cost of living during my account review. I could save a couple $$ by selling my privacy with the app monitoring all our driving but will not give up the last vestige of privacy in the current world for a couple bucks. Definitely shopping alternatives.

Janice has been a great agent. Every time that I have called her team has gone above and beyond my expectations to answer my questions. I highly recommend her to all.
