I called I.E. Shaffer on behalf of a client to request paperwork for a rollover and I couldn't even finish my sentence before I was interrupted. This is my second time calling and both times I spoke with the same woman. She didn't let me speak again before she transferred me elsewhere. I think the customer service team needs some serious training on politeness.

This outfit is terrible. I wouldn't trust them with my grandson's piggy bank. I retired on April 28, 2024 and they did not deposit H&W benefits for the last 2 months I worked. Claimed they couldn't make deposits to my account after the retirement date. Had to threaten them that I was calling L&I before they corrected issue. Be careful when you're about to retire. Keep good records of your hours and benefit statements or you could end being out 1000s of dollars.

I would give ZERO stars if that was an option. My company Senior Accounting Manager called with a basic question on some DBL payments made for federal tax reporting and the woman Nicole that answered the phone was extremely nasty and for no good reason. The reports they sent said to call with any questions - buyer beware - if you call you may get yelled out with attitude. Wow - so unprofessional. Maybe it's a mix of mean and incompetence, but I will repeat with what many others on these reviews have said before me - this outfit is terrible.

Allowed fraud. Did not fact check an application to withdraw money. Vice President told the victim he would get back with them in a day or 2 still waiting 7 days later. 10 days since they were notified.

As a member of IBEW Local #456.... I would like to say that my involvement with IE Shaffer has been nothing but courteous and professional. Customer Service is above satisfactory and my needs are met. Thanks to Nancy V. at IE Shaffer to make sure my finances are in order. 👍🏼👍🏼
