I called on June 3rd and spoke to a representative. I told her I wanted to cancel both my vehicle insurance policies. I told her I was canceling because Progressive has the ignorant policy that you cannot have different coverages for different vehicles! I do not need the same full coverage required on a financed vehicle that I need on my paid off van with 250,000 miles. I understand that this is Progressive's policy, not necessarily this firms choice. But what really upsets me is I told the rep. I wanted my coverage to be maintained until it's scheduled expiration of June 30th. I came home from my most recent trip to TN, where my wife is being treated for breast cancer, to receive a letter stating my vehicle coverage was canceled the very day I called!
