Freeway Insurance

I am filing this review because I believe I was seriously misled about the status of my vehicle insurance. I worked with an associate named Connie, who led me to believe that my vehicle had been properly insured and that my coverage was active. I trusted that everything had been handled correctly. Unfortunately, I later discovered that my vehicle was never insured at all. I only found this out after being involved in a hit-and-run accident. Shortly after the accident, I received a letter from the DMV stating that my vehicle had no active insurance coverage. That was the first time I became aware that the policy I believed was in place did not actually exist. I had a great experience, I get stressed and flustered with these types of things easily but, Steve Antu worked with me and made the process easy and understandable. Steve was extremely polite and very easy to communicate with. Fair prices and he was able to help me by splitting up the down payment. Also, helping make my experience less stressful. I normally do not like leaving bad reviews, but this experience has been stressful enough that I feel the need to share it so others do not go through the same thing and so this company, especially the agent Steve, takes accountability. I signed up for a non owner’s motor insurance policy through Freeway Insurance (I don’t drive or own a vehicle). Later that same day, I realized I was still eligible to work with another insurance company I have used in the past and had a good experience with. They were able to handle what I needed easily, so I decided to cancel my policy with Freeway on the same day I signed up. First, I was given completely false information by Freeway. Steve Antu was incredibly helpful in assisting me in purchasing a new policy. I'm not usually a fan of Steves or brokers in general, honestly, but he was insightful, patient, and even able to get me a discount. That was the smoothest process I've had with any insurance company overall. Can't say enough good things :)
