First Missouri Insurance - Don Gould Agency, Inc.

I have been with First Missouri Insurance for nearly 19 years and feel like family whenever I call or go into the office. My home and truck are both insured with them and have had multiple vehicles, 2 homes and an in between rental house all insured. Don and his people have always found me the best rates and calls me any time he feels he may be able to get me a better rate. Don goes over the new rates, compares any minor differences and we even compare outside companies that I have researched on my own and I am very happy to say that FMI has been my insurance agent though all this time. I went to cancel my insurance policy with them after so many failures on their part, and cherry on top...they couldn't find my policy but then realized they couldn't find it because it had been cancelled. I didn't cancel it. No one could tell me who cancelled it. I never got a notification it had been cancelled. Must have been hard feelings from after the owner berated me for asking why on earth they only had liability coverage for my truck that had a lien on it, I guess. (And again. No one could find any paperwork showing that that was the policy I had ordered...because I clearly ordered full coverage as the law demands a vehicle with a lien carry...) I'm sickened to even have to give them one star, honestly. Horrible experience with a horrible man who thinks it's alright to act aggressiv

Don and his team are some of the most knowledgeable and experienced people in the industry. They will take very good care of you and your insurance needs

My wife and I did not have a good experience with them. Always very difficult to get through to someone and had to play phone tag to get anything done. constantly had to advocate for ourselves and overall they brought little if any value to the table. Much simpler to source insurance prices ourselves. Do not personally recommend. Called to provide feedback as to why I was leaving and seeking auto insurance elsewhere and was hung up on. Par for the course.

Ive been with Don Gould and First Missouri for many years. You wont find better folks to work with to get you the best rates for all your insurance needs. I highly recommend you talk to any of the folks there and they will treat you right and help you like family.
