This health insurance company has been a lifesaver. They made it so easy for me to find the best plan, and the customer service has been excellent. I’ve never had a problem with coverage, and I feel confident that I’m always taken care of.

Horrible coverage. I am self-employed and pay for an expensive PPO, and still get so many extra charges. The policies are ridiculous. Recently I needed to get a specific vaccine for an international trip I am taking. My doctor told me to get it but his office does not provide it, so he said to go to a pharmacy. No prescription was required. It was not covered even though it is a preventative vaccine. I called customer service and first was told that I could submit a claim form with a prescription to get the charge covered. Fine. But then another rep told me that even with a doctor's prescription it would not be covered because I got the shot at a pharmacy, not a doctor's office. I was told that since my doctor's office does not give this shot, I should have found another doctor's office th

Was just informed Blue Shield will kill thousands. They have tripled the price of Repatha, a miracle drug that saves lives. People will have to decide between groceries or this miracle drug. Outrageous stand up, write your congressman. This shall not stand. Health care companies will not determine life and death.

I called the 800 number on an advertisement received in my mailbox with the name of someone NOT at my address. It took over an hour for the call center in the Philippines to fail to find my address anywhere in their system, even though I have a mailing from them in my hand. The first operator hung up on me when I disagreed with her non-solution of telling me it could not be done. I called back and the second operator was more professional, sticking with me to attempt to expunge my address from their system as best as she could figure out how to do so -- she was sending a report of the issue to higher channels. My desire to have none of my personal information in the BS system is only confirmed by this ridiculously inept response to a simple request to remove my address from their system
