Derek Allen - State Farm Insurance Agent

I have been a customer of this office for about 5 years. They have always been responsive and super professional. Recently I had an experience with the inclement weather in Austin, and through the normal claim process my claim was underevaluated and denied by the larger State Farm company. I explained my situation and damage to Derek, and he took the ball and ran with it to get me through the appeal process. It can be hard for clients to reach the appropiate people within the large company but Derek was tenacious in following up and getting the appeal process to the end for me and sure enough, I ended up with a solution that helped me repair my damage. Derek is the absolute best. I had issues working with another State Farm agent when I moved back to TX and moved my business over to Derek. Derek offers excellent customer service and takes time to clearly answer questions I've had as we've worked through changes to our coverage. He even helped save me money by switching my term life coverage over to State Farm. Can't say enough good things about working with Derek and his staff. I've never stepped foot into his office or met him in person, but I highly recommend him as an agent.

Hands down the absolute best agent in town. Derek is completely hands on when you need something. I have my business insurance, cars and house covered through Derek. He was honest that he would not be the least expensive but would give exceptional service if needed. He has proven that multiple times in the past few years. He cares, is always responsive and helpful whenever we’ve needed something. He even stays professional and doesn’t make me feel silly when I ask a ton of crazy questions. Do yourself a favor and switch you will have an actual person to help you not a 1-800 number which can be extremely frustrating in your time of need. Thanks for everything Derek!

Derek helped me when I was moving from my parents plan to my own plan. He was very transparent and helped me determine the best level of coverage for me as an individual. He also helped me bundle my renters insurance to save me some money and headache of using two providers. Any time I need anything from Derek, he gets back to me in literally 2 minutes. He is so fast, and helpful! Cannot recommend him highly enough!

I moved my policies, both home and auto, to Derek at the beginning of the year. He was able to increase my coverage and lower my premiums. That would have been good enough there. But for those of you in Austin, who know what is happening with our winter storm right now, Derek went above and beyond. After days without water and rolling power outages, I finally ventured out to the store to stock up on supplies. My vehicle is not all wheel drive, but I figured I could make it as the store wasn’t far. I was wrong. As I pulled into the parking lot I got stuck in a patch of ice. I texted Derek and he didn’t recommend I call a tow service or tell me to leave it until the ice thawed, HE CAME AND TOWED MY CAR OUT HIMSELF! Not only that, he was there in about 15 minutes. WOW! I have never experience
